CINDERELLA COMPANY LIST

Congratulations to the company. Our first rehearsal will be on Tuesday, October 14th at 4:15pm in the theatre. Crew members do not need to attend this rehearsal.

Thank you to everyone who auditioned, you truly made this a challenging show to cast. We are so proud of all of you and are in awe of the talent we have at Wakeland. You should be very proud of the work you did throughout the audition process. We look forward to seeing you all again at our next set of auditions.

CINDERELLA CALL BACKS

Due to a hugely successful 1st round of auditions, we have restructured the format of call backs. On Tuesday (tomorrow) we will hold acting and singing call backs for lead and featured roles. And then on Wednesday, we will hold dancing call backs for everyone who attended both the singing and dancing 1st round of auditions. Upcoming Booster Club Meeting

This meeting will immediately follow the Cinderella informational meeting.

DSM/TSU College Audition Prep Weekend Location Change

The Karayanis Rehearsal Center is about a five minute car ride from the Music Hall location, adjacent to the opposite end of Fair Park in Dallas.

DSM/TSU College Audition Prep Weekend Aug 15-17

Dallas Summer Musicals and Texas State University are hosting a College Audition Prep Weekend Aug. 15-17. They are bringing in 6 TX and 2 OK college Musical Theatre programs for a very fun and intensive weekend opportunity for students to get to meet and be seen by some of the top school faculties in our region. Broadway veterans join musical theater faculty from across the state and renowned college coach Mary Anna Dennard for a unique college prep experience for students, parents and high school educators beginning Friday, August 15 through Sunday, August 17th at the Music Hall at Fair Park as Dallas Summer Musicals and Texas State University join together for the College Audition Prep Weekend.
At this forum, aspiring young high school performers and their parents will have the opportunity, in one location, to meet theater faculty from top Regional and Texas in-state universities, hear program overviews, participate in a mock dance call and present their audition material and receive valuable feedback and direction from university faculty members. Students will also be able to attend a talk given by Mary Anna Dennard, nationally renowned college audition coach and author of I GOT IN!The Ultimate College Audition Guide For Acting & Musical Theatre.
Participation is open to any high school or college age student. Space is limited. Participation fees are non-refundable. Attendance fee will be charged at time of application. Parents and teachers may attend presentations and auditions free of charge!

Registration for observation only: $85, to participate in mock-audition and dance calls: $225

RENT Star Adam Pascal to lead masterclass in Dallas on June 25th

image001Adam Pascal is one of Broadway’s favorite leading men, having been born and raised in NYC. He is widely known for originating the role of Roger Davis in the Original Broadway Cast of Rent, for which he received a Tony Nomination for Best Actor (Musical), and won the Drama League and Obie Award for the role. He went on to star on Broadway as Radames in Elton John & Tim Rice’s popular musical Aida (Drama League Award), Emcee in Cabaret, Huey Calhoun in Memphis, and most recently as Billy Flynn in Chicago. Adam reprised his role of Roger Davis in in the 2005 film version of Rent, and concluded his journey with the character on the 2009 national tour of the show alongside Original Broadway cast member Anthony Rapp. Adam is also a successful recording artist having released 3 solo albums, with the most recent Blinding Light released this past year.

Adam Pascal will be hosting a masterclass, working with performers on musical theatre and pop pieces. ALL AGES are welcome to participate.
