By the Bog of Cats Cast and Crew :
In order to save time at the end of the year please update your International Thespian Society Points Sheets at this time. Points must be entered by May 1st, 2017.
If you do not yet have a points sheet, follow these instructions:
- Log into Google Docs and go to this link – Blank Thespian Points Sheet
- MAKE A COPY of the document and name it as follows : First Name_Last Initial_Graduation Year (Example: Mitchell_D_2013)
- Enter in your information at the top of the document – leave induction year blank.
- Scroll down to the second page and using the Official Thespian Points System enter in your role and responsibilities for By the Bog of Cats
- For UIL One Act ONLY you receive your points for each clinic and performance. Enter each as it’s own row.
Example: By the Bog of Cats | March 2017 | Stage Manager – Clinic One | 4 pts

- For UIL One Act ONLY you receive your points for each clinic and performance. Enter each as it’s own row.
- SHARE your document with Mrs. Howe (TatumA@friscoisd.org) AND Mrs. Leffel (LeffelL@friscoisd.org) and make sure that they can edit the document.
You will use the same points sheet for your entire WHS career, so be sure to keep it active in your Google Drive and update it following each production you are a part of. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Leffel or Mrs. Howe.
Awards Show Tickets for DSM HSMTA
ATTENTION ALL COMPANY MEMBERS OF INTO THE WOODS….It is time to purchase tickets to the DSM HSMTA show, which is Thursday, May 18th at 7:00pm.
Discounted tickets are available for cast, crew, pit orchestra members and teachers directly involved in the production only. Parents, friends, boosters, other faculty members, etc. must purchase regular tickets at The Box Office or through the DSM High School Musical Theatre Awards website at: www.dsmhsmta.org.
If you plan on attending the awards show, please come by the theatre office to pick up an order form. The order form and payment are due by MONDAY, APRIL 3rd.
This is the absolute deadline!
Bi-District Schedule for Thursday!
The performance order for Bi-District on March 23 is as follows:
- Centennial HS – The Marriage of Bette and Boo
- Colony HS – Second Samuel
- Frisco HS – Anatomies
- Newman Smith HS – These Shining Lives
- RL Turner HS – Fire in the Hole
- Wakeland HS – By the Bog of Cats
Shows start at 3:30 and run back to back. Wakeland should take the stage around 8:00 so please arrive no later than 7:30. No late entries are permitted and you don’t want to miss the show! Awards will begin around 10:30PM.
UIL One Act Play Contest Schedule
Wakeland HS will be hosting the District 13-5A UIL One Act Play contest tomorrow, 3/16. All shows are open to the public and are free of charge. You may come directly to the auditorium on the North Side of the building and enter through the glass doors to see the shows – no need to check in at the front office. Please be aware that patrons will not be seated after a show begins, so arrive early if necessary. Shows are running back to back, and therefore, specific start times cannot be provided.
The first show starts at 10:00am, The performance order is as follows:
1 Heritage HS – “Big Love”
2. Independence HS – “Last of the Boys”
3. Reedy HS – “The Libation Bearers”
4. Frisco HS – “Anatomies”
After the first 4 shows, we will take a 45 lunch break and then begin the second 4 shows.
5. Centennial HS – “The Marriage of Bette and Boo”
6. Liberty HS – “And The Dance Real Slow in Jackson”
7. Wakeland HS – “By the Bog of Cats”
8. Lone Star HS – “The Glass Menagerie”
Awards and critiques will follow once the judges have completed their paperwork.

UIL One Act Play Concession Volunteers Needed!
Wakeland HS will be hosting this year’s District Competition on March 16. Wakeland Theatre Booster Club will be providing concessions for the participating school’s visiting our campus that day. We are in need of concession volunteers to work 2 hour shifts throughout the day.
We hope you can join us to cheer on our Wolverine Theatre, as well as help with this booster club fundraiser!
